Buckle Up in Every Vehicle in All Seating Positions.
It’s the Law. Effective July 1, 2007
INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – After several years of public and
political debate, Indiana’s
General Assembly adopted House Bill 1237 on Sunday, April 29, 2007. The
Bill states that all occupants of passenger vehicles, including pickup
trucks, are required to buckle up in all seating positions.

Seat Belt Enforcement Zones
They are
conducted during daylight hours with as few as two to four officers
stationed outside of their vehicles at specified intersections. Officers
flag over only those motorists who have unbuckled front seat passengers
and/or are violators of the child restraint law.
