"Saluting The Hero's Who Sacrificed Their
Lives In The Line Of Duty"
In
Honor of Our Hero's
Police
Officers and Jail Officers get into their uniforms, strap on their guns
and go off to work. They go into the most volatile of situations - human
emotions - of grief, rage, hatred, fear, greed and sometimes psychosis.
Sometimes they do not come home. They and their families live on a
subtle edge. It's always there in the background, unspoken, but there.

A Officer's
Prayer
Lord, I ask for
courage --
Courage to face and conquer my own fears...
Courage to take me where others will not go...
I ask for strength --
Strength of body to protect others,
and strength of spirit to lead others...
I ask for dedication --
Dedication to my job, to do it well,
Dedication to my community, to keep it safe...
And please, Lord, through it all, be by my side.
