FIREARMS LICENSING
effective July 1, 2006
To obtain a gun permit in
Indiana, you must meet the following criteria:
You must be 18 years of age.
You must not have been
convicted of a felony.
You must be a resident of
Indiana.
Fingerprints are required.
The initial application must
be filled out at the Dearborn County Sheriff's Department.
One week from the day of
application, or anytime thereafter, the application MUST BE PICKED UP
and forward to the State. You will need to pick up the application
yourself or have a family member pick it up for you. The application
will be kept for a maximum of 6 months.
